Many fans may have written off David warner seeing his IPL and even T20I form, however, the explosive opener was instrumental in not only the semi-final but also the final, where his fast scoring helped the team to win the ICC T20 World Cup.

Warner scored a crucial 53 of 38 balls including four fours and 3 sixes. Wasim Akram while talking on A sports, commented that the dashing opener has won several matches for Australia single-handedly. Warner went on to be the leading run-scorer for the Aussies in the WC tournament. However, Shoaib Akhtar was unhappy with Warner being awarded as the Man of the Tournament as according to him, Babar Azam was the deserving candidate.

During the IPL, Warner was seen sitting in the dugout and fans wondered what exactly Warner was being dealt with. The left-hander made a heartfelt post revealing that his IPL team management have dropped him from the playing eleven without any reason. The lefty made three half-centuries and a top score of 89.

Warner, while taking the Man of The Match award commented that going back to the basics was the key for him. The batsman fell cheaply during the two warm-up games.

Replay confirmed that Warner did not nick the ball

Warner was going berserk and was giving ominous signs to the Nw Zealand Skipper Kane Williamson. While batting on 49th, the batsman thought he nicked a ball to the keeper. The keeper and the bowler appealed with confidence and the umpire raised the finger. Warner too went away fully believing that he had nicked the ball. However, the replays confirmed no sound from the Ultra edge and there was also a big gap between the bat and the ball.
