The game against Australia and Pakistan was a tense, nail-biting encounter. Pakistan had its noses ahead for most of the match. With 22 needing off the last two overs, Babar Azam gave the over to its premier fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was unlucky to get the wicket of Matthew Wade as he was dropped by Hasan Ali. The next three balls proved to be a nightmare for Pakistan as Matthew Wade hit them for three consecutive sixes.

After watching the final of the T20 World Cup, Rameez Raja, the PCB chairman was speaking to the fans. Upon being asked why the team was able to play so well, Rameez Raja believed that their hard work came to fruition. He also added that the team was able to play pressure-free as he ensures there is no pressure on them from the board.

One of the fans asked what he thinks of Hasan Ali, to which Raja replied that the fast bowler needs to work doubly hard. He pointed that Hasan did make a mistake and that such incidents are hard to forget. He added that Hasan Ali would need to work hard on his fielding and to learn from his mistake.

However, the likes of Waqar Younis defended the fast bowler and commented that catches do get dropped. Waqar also pointed that Australians too dropped catches but were able to make up with their batting whereas Pakistan although dropped the catch, was unable to make up. According to Waqar, Shaheen should have bowled a better line and length, an opinion that was similar to Shahid Afridi’s.

The newly elected PCB chariman praised Mohammad Rizwan, for his large-heartedness in not only playing but for scoring crucial runs in the semi-final match. Rizwan was in the ICU a day before the match for a severe lung infection. Upon being asked how much the PCB chairman is missing the commentary box, the chairman replied “Please don’t ask” in a humorous manner.
