Former Pakistani captain and head coach Misbah Ul Haq has tested for Covid 19, the second time. Misbah had gone to US for personal reasons and tested positive upon return. The former captain is on the prescriptions advised by the doctors and has asked the fans to pray for his quick recovery. A number of people in the cricketing fraternity have tested positive in recent days. It all started from Travis Head, Chris Silverwood, the coach of England, Glenn Mcgrath, and now Misbah Ul Haq.

Misbah had earlier too got infected with Covid in Aug 2021 during the Pakistan tour of the West Indies. The former coach retired from Cricket in the year 2017. Known for his 2007 heroics, Misbah was often criticized for his defensive batting and late surcharge because of which wasn’t able to cross the winning line. In the 2007 T20 World Cup final, he almost carried Pakistan to the maiden T20 victory smashing Indian bowlers all around the park until he got out on a slower ball, and Pakistan lost the match by 5 runs. After his retirement in 2017, Misbah was appointed as the selector and the head coach in 2019. After the arrival of the new PCB chairman, the duo leadership of Misbah and Waqar Younis stepped down from their respective coaching roles.

Misbah, a latecomer in Cricket, has Masters’s Degree in Business Administration and is also the most successful captain for Pakistan when he surpassed Imran’s record of 13 test wins.
