“Cannot reveal the discussion with Virat Kohli in front of everyone : Babar Azam

After ages, it appears that the people of Pakistan were content with the performance of their country in the World cup. A team that is always marred with controversies for one or the other reason, Pakistan displayed character and the desire to execute its plans fearlessly. The high point of the tournament for the cricket-frenzy nation was the win against India, their maiden victory against arch-rivals in the World Cup campaign.

India versus Pakistan is always a tense battle. The media hype and the expectation from the people certainly get to the players. After the instability that Pakistan has suffered over the years, it now seems that they have got the right duo in the form of Ramiz Raja and Babar Azam.

Ramiz Raja, a few days ago, revealed that during the meeting with the Pakistan Cricket team before the T20 World cup, he asked them to play an attacking game and not worry about the results. The belief seems to have rubbed off the Pakistan team as the team has continued their World Cup momentum, first reaching the semis of the game which was unexpected of them, and then clean sweeping the Bangladeshis, a side who recently bamboozled the Australian batting in the home series.

It is always natural for the members of the opposing team to talk to each other during the practice sessions before the game. But when the teams are India and Pakistan, the masses want to know every conversation that takes place between the players, especially between the two captains.

Addressing the pre-match press conference, Babar Azam was asked by a reporter about the conversation with Kohli. There are videos of the duo talking before the high-octane clash in the T20 World Cup. Sensing that the answer may be interpreted wrongly, Babar Azam refused and said “Cannot reveal the discussion with Virat Kohli in front of everyone”

Whatever may have been the discussion between the two, one thing is for sure that Babar certainly wouldn’t have discussed the plans they had set up Rohit Sharma, an inswinging delivery that caught the right-hander off guard. Virat Kohli has become the first captain of India who lost the match to Pakistan in the World Cup, something which he dearly hoped not to be.

Pakistan will begin its home assignment with the West Indies on the 13th of December. All the white ball games will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
