After a lot of speculations, the India SA 2021 tour will finally happen. While South Africa may not have superstar names such as Faf Du Plessis and A B Devilliers, they will be tough to beat in the home conditions. Now the news is emerging that Quinton De Kock will not available for the part of the Test series. The keeper-batsman is expecting to be the father. The delivery date is expected to be around early January. The test series will be commencing from the 26th of December.
The batsman has however made himself available for the ODI series, which will start from the 19th of January, however, it may be difficult for the batsman to rejoin the ODI team in time due to the protocols of the bio-secure environment where quarantine is mandatory upon entry.
Quinton De kock has been a significant part of the South African team for the last eight years. Against India, he has played 13 ODIs and has scored five centuries and one fifty with the highest score of 135 runs. The average stands good too at 60.31. In the test side, South Africa would look to include their reserve wicket-keeper Kyle Verreynne and Ryan Rickelton. Most of the players from the 2018 SA Test side will not be featuring in the side this time.
First Test: 26-30 December – SuperSport Park, Centurion
Second Test: 3-7 January – Wanderers, Johannesburg

The marquee tour is extremely vital for Cricket South Africa as their financial reserves are at the lowest ever. The tour will likely earn them R700 million. The Cricket board has assured the visiting side that they will implement a ‘world-class’ bio bubble for the Indian team.
