In one of the gripping encounters ever played in T20 history, Australia somehow managed to overcome the fiery Pakistan bowling attack. Chasing 178, the men from down under lost Aaron Finch to an inswinger from Shaheen Shah Afridi, the bowl similar to the one which dismissed Rohit Sharma.

The win predictor kept changing between the two teams with Pakistan being ahead for most of the occasions, except in the second last over when Matthew Wade smashed 22 runs of Pakistan’s current premier fast bowler. There are reports that the people in Pakistan have broken their TV sets as Australia had snatched the victory from them.

Shoaib, in his video released on Twitter, praised Pakistan for its effort and performance, which has ignited a new brand of cricket, and has requested the fans to stay behind their teams. Akhtar, also admitted that Australia did played well.

Australia was struggling and was clawing their way back into the game. Matthew Wade, got an opportunity after Hasan Ali dropped his catch, which proved vital as the batsman then went on to hit three consecutive sixes of Afridi. The first six was almost a scoop of fiery fast bowls, under which wade managed to get in. The next one was a slow off-cutter which wade sent it into the stands. The final blow was a similar shot to the first six of the 19th over.

In the presentation ceremony, captain Babar Azam admitted that the dropped catch by Hasan Ali was the turning point of the game and chances like that are fatal to teams like Australia. Australia will now meet New Zealand in the finals on 14th November. The match will be played at Dubai Cricket Stadium and will commence from 7.30 p.m. IST.
